Jeffrey's obituary

                                                                                          Jeffrey Lynn Wilcox (TAZ)

                                                                                           11/16/1953-09/28/2025

With profound love, sorrow, and reverence, we share the passing of Jeffrey Lynn Wilcox on September 28, 2025.

Born on November 16, 1953, in Marion, Ohio, Jeff was the beloved son of Billy Gene and Barbara (Davis) Wilcox.

Following, high school, Jeff proudly served his country beginning in 1972, with much of his service spent in Korea. After his honorable discharge, he worked at Tecumseh in Marion before embarking on a lifelong career in construction and carpentry—a craft he never truly stepped away from.

Jeff is also survived by the love of his life, Lana Hall of Leesburg, Florida, who remained his steadfast companion and his Pearl.

Jeff’s legacy lives on through his children: Jeremy (Lesa) Word, Jennifer (Jason) Wilkinson, and his bonus children Samantha Hall (Kenton Redmond) and Taylor (Molly) Hall. He was a cherished grandfather to many.

He is also survived by his four brothers: Billy G. (Melody) Wilcox of Prospect, Kevin Wilcox (Sandra Ellis-Howard) of Florida, Brian Wilcox of Marion, and Fred Wilcox (Christina Spofford) of Marion. Jeff leaves behind a large and loving extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

A benefit pool tournament in honor of Jeff will be held on October 12th at American Legion Post 162, located at 531 Bellefontaine Avenue, Marion, Ohio. Sign up at 11am.

In celebration of Jeff’s life and in true reflection of his spirit, his memorial service will take place on the same day in the American Legion 162 Bingo Hall from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
