Jeffrey's obituary
Jeffrey Wayne Specht: A Life Filled with Adventure and Love (1956-2024)
Jeffrey Wayne Specht, a man who embraced life with a smile as big as the California sunshine, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2024 at the age of 67. Born on August 24,1956, in Riverside, California, to Barbara and Wayne Specht, Jeff's spirit was as adventurous as the landscapes he loved.
From a young age, Jeff craved the thrill of the open road. Dirt bike trails became his playgrounds, and the roar of an engine was his music. But his love for adventure extended far beyond land. Perhaps his greatest joy came from the open waters. Lake Havasu, a cherished family destination, instilled in him a lifelong love for boating. This passion later led him and Laura to create their very own haven at Lake Mead, where he spent 25 years crafting memories with loved ones. Jeff was a captain on his own ship, navigating the sparkling waters behind the wheel of his boat, likely with a favorite playlist blasting in the background.
Jeff found his greatest joy in sharing these passions with his family. His adventurous spirit extended to his role as husband and father. He built a beautiful life over 38 years with Laura Specht, and together they raised their cherished children, Krysti and Kyle. They were his pride and joy, and the love he held for them was a constant source of strength and happiness. Jeff's hard work in the grocery industry ensured a comfortable and loving environment for his family. Raising his children on the waters of Lake Mead instilled in them a love for adventure that mirrored his own. Weekends were spent soaking up the sun on the water, fostering a love for the outdoors in his children.
Those who knew Jeff will remember his infectious laugh, his unwavering love for his family, and his zest for life's simple pleasures – long walks, quiet evenings spent close with loved ones, and music that stirred his soul.
Jeff leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Specht; the mother of his children, Laura Specht; his children, Krysti and Kyle; their spouses, Kenneth and Jaime; his grandson, Anderson; and his siblings, Cindi and Jerry along with their spouses Tony and Vicki.
A Celebration of Life will be held to honor Jeff's memory, a chance to share stories and remember the man who brought sunshine wherever he went.
