Jeff and I were friends at Michigan State we lived  on the same floor in Holmes Hall. We lost touch a while back and I was trying to reconnect and I came across the site. I’m deeply saddened to learn that Jeff had passed away. He was a great friend and  human being. My condolences to the Sumerix family.
I was friends with Jeff when he worked on the Comed project in Chicago over 20 years ago. We hosted him for Easter dinner one year when he lived away from home. We kept in touch a few years after the project. We lost touch once he joined the military but often wondered how he was doing. I came across this and was very sad to read of his passing. I’m curious to know what happened at a young age.
I'm so sorry for the loss of Jeff. He was always a great friend and cousin, and I always looked forward to seeing him when our families would get together when we were kids. He will surely be missed by many. My heart and prayers go out to the Sumerix family during this difficult time.
