In the midst of this difficult time, I have been continuosly touched by the incredible outpouring of love and support we have received. I keep trying to express this when people ask how I am by saying “I feel lucky,” which seems rather inappropriate given the circumstances. Yet, I do feel lucky. I get to experience the profound beauty of all these connections we share. It is only because of this dire, worst-case scenario, that I get to witness the extent of the love that surrounds us. This beautiful network of friends and family coming togeher to aid us on the most difficult journey, giving us strength and unity during our time of sorrow.

As we gather to remember and honor the life of Jeff, I want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming of support we’ve been shown. Each of your expressions of care and concern hold a unique place in our hearts, helping us heal and find solace during our loss. Each act of kindness has been a reminder of the beauty that exists even in difficult times. Truly, I am the luckiest unlucky person I know. Thank you for loving us. Thank you for loving Jeff.
