Jeffrey's obituary

Jeffrey W. Duncan, 31, of Derry, NH, born January 11, 1990, died suddenly on Thursday, February 4, 2021. He was a devoted, loving, and beloved husband, son, brother, and friend to many.

Jeff is lovingly survived by his adoring wife, Corin (Barnes) Duncan of Derry, her daughters, Jamisen and Ivy, his parents, Douglas and Beatrice (Mathieu) Duncan of Natick, MA, his sister, Alison Duncan of Arlington, MA, his brother, Ben Duncan of Natick, MA, his in-laws, his nephew and niece, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jeff was a gentle, kind soul who found friends wherever he went in life. He grew up in Natick and then lived in Reading, MA, for several years in his twenties. After Jeff found his own recovery from addiction, he became part of the recovery community and earned an associate degree in drug and alcohol counseling. He went on to work for a suboxone clinic for three years and continued to be active in helping other individuals. He found great purpose in the help he could offer to so many others in their own work toward recovery.

Jeff always had an incredible entrepreneurial spirit. In 2017, he moved to Derry and opened El Jefe Vapes in Milford, NH. He was passionate about vaping as an option to help people avoid the dangers of cigarette smoking.

Jeff had a large and loving extended family and countless friends, and he loved gathering with them. Jeff was particularly attached and devoted to his dogs. He loved watching sports and had many happy memories attending Bruins and Patriots games with his wife, brother, and cousins. Another passion of Jeff’s was rehabbing cars, especially with his cousins.

Most of all, Jeff loved his wife, Corin. They were united in marriage on December 31, 2019. They shared a love for music and the beach, traveling as often as they could to see their favorite bands in concert and to their favorite vacation spot in Myrtle Beach. Jeff adored Corin’s daughters and loved spending time with them.

A memorial walk-through wake with masks, social distancing, and limited interaction with the family will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 4–7 pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in support of Jeff’s wife and her daughters.

Jeff has touched so many lives and meant so much to so many. If you have memories or stories of Jeff you would like to share, the family would love to hear them.
