Jeff's obituary

Jeff (aka Beefy Lee) was kind-hearted, quick-witted and generous to a fault. He lived life in the moment and loved music, including the British Invasion bands, folk music and Motown. Arlo Guthrie’s Alice’s Restaurant was a favorite, and he never missed the chance to “entertain” his friends and family with it. He was a true yinzer and remained loyal to all Pittsburgh teams, especially his beloved Steelers. Jeff was passionate about the many communities he called home, donating time and energy to many causes over the years with a focus on those less fortunate. He was fearless in difficult circumstances, whether that meant helping a friend through traumatic events or navigating through the healing process after a local tragedy. Jeff worked in the tire business, and later found his passion in the mystery shopping industry. He became the family historian, continuing his father’s legacy in building the family tree. His adventurous spirit carried him on journeys across the country to see many of our nation’s great wonders. Jeff loved his time in the Boy Scouts and cherished his family’s adventures and travels. Travel continued to be an important part of his life into his adult years.

He valued his friends from Churchill Area High School Class of ’69 in Pittsburgh, PA. In recent years, he thoroughly enjoyed planning and attending his 50th high school reunion. Forever an animal lover, Jeff loved his cats and shared his many travel experiences with the infamous “Grumpy Cat”. He also enjoyed sharing his frustrations about restaurants that couldn’t figure out the meaning of “no lemon”.

Jeff’s family meant the world to him. He is survived by his Princess, Deborah Kromish and his 2nd mom and dad Theresa and John Kromish of Venice, FL, his darling but often tortured younger sister Jill Agnew and her husband James of Homosassa, FL, his favorite daughter Jennifer Wien, her husband Stephen, and granddaughters Emma and Grace of Saddle Brook, NJ, and his beloved son B.B.A. Jon Crozier and his wife Valerie, and grandchildren Ava and Jackson of Ladera Ranch, CA. He was predeceased by his parents Gerald and Janice Crozier.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Suncoast Humane Society of Englewood, FL in his honor at https://www.humane.org/donate.
