How can it possibly be a year already?  The text I got that you were gone took the wind right out of my sails - this wasn’t supposed to happen.  But it did, and now I bet you have one big party every day with all the old rock and rollers who’ve gone on to the hereafter.  Miss and love you my friend!!
Jeff came to NC on business and I met him in Durham. I took him to a real dump with great BBQ. He ordered brisket. He always orders brisket. The last order went to the guy in front of me. He got a little mouthy with the BBQ queen. She convinced him hamburger steak was just like brisket and that fool bought it. Never... Never sass the “good lady” I laughed until I cried. I got cussed. 😀
Jeff was a true friend. We were business partners, but it was a lot more than that. I think about him most days. I miss him every day.

Condolences to Jeff's family. I graduated with Jeff ~ we were in junior high and high school together. We miss you here on earth Jeff. What's it like up there? Do they have oldies bands? They must! Till we meet again old friend.

Jeff was a friend and a former business partner. He was a creative problem solver and I really appreciated the help and friendship we shared. Jeff will be truly missed.
Favorite memory of Jeff was finishing dinner on a 60s cruise and he would race to be first in line when the doors opened at which time. he would race down the aisle to get us front row seats! Bless you Jeff!
Jeff and I worked together as ushers in Raleigh in the early days of the Hurricanes hockey team. He was a no-nonsense guy who loved his Pittsburgh upbringing and commanded a lot of respect from those who worked with him. But he also gave it back in spades. He’d often stay with us when his secret shopping gig brought him back to the area - always a good time. I chatted online with him the night before his surgery and neither of us thought that that would be the last time we spoke. Sure gonna miss him.
I was in Jeff's mystery shopping life. We first met buy phone in 2006. We worked a " Sweat Equity" deal where he exchanged working for me- for his first video camera. I custom made him a covert video shirt, send him that along with the equipment and he went on his first trip up and down Florida "buying homes". He paid for his camera by the end of the trip, with plenty left over . We became friends on that trip, over the phone and online - guiding him along the way. From that trip he went on to take on the nation, and ultimately the mystery shopping world. Always witty, never dull. He was always looking for ways to improve his life as well as ours; teaching others what he knew; looking into the latest greatest equipment; finding the best restaurants, and sometimes even cuddly little pals for us to talk to along our routes. He did have a rough way of fitting into the world , and he kind of reminded me of Grumpy Cat most of the time. But, who can resist Grumpy Cat? Not many & we will all miss you. You always threatened me that I would miss you someday, but I'm sorry to say that time came way too soon. I hope there are kitties in heaven, rest in peace!
