Jeffrey Allen Blomgren was born in Duluth MN on March 14, 1969. He grew up in West St. Paul, MN with parents Alan and Joanne Blomgren and siblings Melinda, Robert and Paul. Jeff often talked about what a great childhood he had - especially enjoying his high school friends and sports. He graduated from Henry Sibley High School in 1987.
After high school, Jeff excelled at Moose Country Restaurant and Gallagher’s Bar/Restaurant, garnering compliments on his cooking and his help in opening the kitchen at Gallaghers. He moved on to work at Wells Fargo Bank.
In 1997, he welcomed his daughter Madelyn Hesse. In 2000 he fell in love with Emily Morgantini and they married in 2002. Jeff became a bonus dad to Kali Davis. Jeff and Emily welcomed daughter Zoe in 2004 and son Sammuel in 2007. Jeff loved his family fiercely.
Jeff reconnected with his birth family during this time. Eventually he and Emily chose to relocate to New Mexico, both to get to know his family there and to start a new career in the oil field.
In 2010, Jeff’s job moved him to Alice, Texas and it is here that Jeff and Emily raised their family and celebrated the arrival of grandchildren Zayn Acero and Nami Canales.
Jeff’s biggest love was certainly family, but during the NFL season, he sure loved watching and cheering on Minnesota Vikings. Jeff was a huge sports fan!
Jeff is survived by wife Emily, daughters Madelyn Hesse, Kali Davis, Zoe Blomgren, son Sammuel Blomgren, grandchildren Zayn Acero and Nami Canales, parents Alan (Beverly) Blomgren and Joanne Smith, siblings Melinda (Jeff) Sooy, Robert Blomgren, Paul (Lynne) Blomgren and many other step siblings, half siblings, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Funeral Service will be 11 am Friday, August 15 at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 510 Hall Ave, St. Paul, MN 55107. Visitation before the service at 9 am. Luncheon to follow in the Social Hall. Private internment to follow. Memorials preferred to the family GoFundMe gofund.me/e6b36642
