Jeffery's obituary
Jeffery Ryan Ledezma was born to his parents, Roberto and June Ledezma in Oklahoma City, OK on September 12 of 1988. At the age 35, and after 43 days of hospitalization, Jeffery passed away the evening of June 1, 2024 at Integris Baptist Hospital with loved ones nearby.
Jeffery grew up in Shawnee in the South Rock Creek area where he attended school through the 8th Grade. He later graduated from Shawnee High School. He attended some college at the University of Central Oklahoma located in Edmond, OK. He had many professions ranging from busser boy at Red Lobster, Pharmacy tech, Regional Manager for local drug stores, to your friendly Door Dasher who would leave inspirational messages on your food bags or boxes.
He enjoyed art, photography, traveling, sight seeing, and cooking. He was a natural care-taker, and was always good for a laugh on hard days.
Jeffery was like a light that burned brightly, as many were drawn to his vibrant aura and infectious energy. Jeffery’s journey was not without its storms. He faced many silent battles and endured losses that weighed heavily upon his heart.
There were seasons when his light seemed to dim, and the rain fell heavy. It was during these times that his family and friends—his anchors—stood steadfast by his side.
Jeffery was full of life, and loved beautiful things. Be assured, that if you were someone he called friend, he saw something beautiful in you and cherished it.
He is preceded in death by his is Mothers; B. June Burdick of Shawnee, OK, and Debbie Hume-Ledezma of Shawnee, OK. His grandparents; John and Barbara Burdick of Shawnee, OK, and Ernesto and Gertrudes Ledezma of New Mexico.
He is survived by his Father, Roberto Ledezma Sr.; His siblings; Riley Malone of New York City, NY, Roberto Ledezma II, of Shawnee, OK, and Jonathan Ledezma, of Shawnee, OK; and numerous friends.
Jeffery’s life is a testament to the beauty and resilience of the human spirit. As we remember him, let us celebrate the brilliance he brought into our world, and the enduring mark he left on our hearts. May we honor his legacy by holding onto the light he shared with us all, and may he rest in peace.
A Memorial Service to honor Jeffery's life will be held at McElyea and Owens Funeral Home in the blue house that is just North of the funeral home in Shawnee, OK.
