Jeff's obituary
With a heavy heart, we announce Mr. Jeff Baxter's passing on April 24, 2024. Born on September 19, 1960, in Yakima, WA. His mom passed away at the young age of 10, and his sister Gail and her husband George stepped up and gave him a loving childhood. At age 20, he served in the Air Force at Mildenhall, England.
Later, Jeff started a beautiful family with Diane, had two sons, Chase and Blake Baxter, and lived a vibrant, happy life. In 2011, Jeff served as a senator for Washington State. Jeff's devotion to his family was evident in his love and care for his siblings Richard Baxter and Gail Nolan, his niece Renee, and his nephews Brice, Trent, and Erin.
On a Saturday morning five years ago, Jeff and Alice Baxter's lives changed forever, and it all started with a tap on the shoulder. Jeff always claimed their lives were meant to come together and proved that every day by the love, care, and protection he showed her. They were each other's love and lived life to the fullest together.
A man of strength and wisdom, Jeff's presence was a beacon of light to those who knew him. Although his physical presence is no longer with us, his spirit lives on through the memories and the people he touched.
His final words reflect his deep appreciation of life's journey.
"I am Strong"
"I am healthy."
"I am very young."
"I am not alone; I love my family."
"I am in God's hands."
"You did not choose me, but I choose you to go and bear fruit-fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. This is my command: Love each other." John 15:16-17
