Jeanne Marie Bernardi passed away on October 19, 2023 in Mesa, Arizona due to complications from pneumonia.

Jeanne was born on October 7, 1950 in Brooklyn, NY, and lived in Jericho, NY until a move cross country to Arizona in 1995.

Jeanne was a free spirit hippie, known for her loving, giving, and creative nature as she was an incredible artist. Jeanne overcame many obstacles in her life including going into remission from throat cancer. She was a fighter and incredibly headstrong as she consistently beat the odds.  

Jeanne is survived by her son, Jason Zarifis (Ceita); her daughter, Christina Lacey (Nick), her grandchildren, Brandon and Alexis, Vincent and Jordin, her brother Robert Bernardi (Barbara), sister in law Lisa Bernardi, brother John Bernardi, sister Rosemarie Giambrone (Skip), brother Richard Bernardi (Melissa), and many nieces and nephews. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents Mario Bernardi and Rosemarie Bernardi, and James Bernardi, her brother.

A memorial service in honor of Jeanne will be held after the new year. Details will be announced soon. Family and friends are welcome to express their condolences by making charitable donations in her name or sending personal messages and sharing any photos you may have with Jeanne.
