Jeanne's obituary
Jeanne Helen Gallo
April 3, 1949 – September 23, 2025
It is with the deepest grieving that we announce the passing of Jeanne Helen Gallo, who went to heaven on September 23, 2025, at the age of 76 surrounded by her family and close friends.
Born on April 3, 1949, in Havertown, PA, Jeanne was defined by her remarkable faith, resilience and compassion. Her life was one of service, not only to her family but to the countless people whose lives she touched along the way. Jeanne was a warrior in life and for God, facing every challenge with faith and grace. Though cancer may have taken her body, it never claimed her spirit. She continued to be a devoted wife and mother, offering love, acceptance, prayer and mentorship to her family and a second family of many whom she adopted along the way.
Jeanne met her husband, Tom, at the age of 14, and their love story began when an injury kept her stuck at home. Tom brought her lunch every day and they started a relationship that would last over 60 years. They married and started their family in Ardmore, PA. They moved to the countryside of Boyertown, PA, where together they converted a barn built in 1811 into a home where they raised their children. They later retired to Florida.
Jeanne’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. She studied at Valley Forge Bible College, J. Adam’s Counseling School and Elijah House. She counseled many, mentored young people and women in ministry and was a hospital chaplain. She wrote and published her book, Empowering Women to Serve. She was also a faithful companion to Tom in his ministry as pastor of Hopewell Community Church.
Jeanne loved entertaining, dining out and bringing people together. Whether it was cooking a huge meal, creating something special for an event, helping with a work or school project (she is still Christine’s #1 salesperson for Homelike Solutions) – Jeanne’s creativity and endless energy were infectious.
Jeanne is survived by her husband of 60 years, Tom, and her children, Tommy (and wife Denise), Christine and Jenee. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Elizabeth Egbert; her sister and nephew, Suzanne and Tristen Giuliano; her in-laws, Thomas and Betty, and Vera Gallo; and her son-in-law, Joseph Kevin Potts.
Jeanne’s love for her family and her faith will live on in all who knew her. Though she is gone from this world, she is forever with us in spirit. She is now at rest and healed in Heaven and in the presence of her Savior, who prepared a place for her as promised in John 14:2-3.
Above all, Jeanne was our mom – she was irreplaceable and we love her.
A service celebrating Jeanne’s life will be held at Hopewell Community Church, 1130 Commerce Drive, Pottstown, PA, on Saturday, November 15th, 2025 at 2 PM. A reception will follow in a private room at J.J. Ratigan, 227 E. High St., Pottstown, PA.
