Dear Marilyn,
I'm so sorry to hear about Aunt Jean. She was a very special person. I remember staying at the house in Nutley in the summers and those were always my favourite times when we were over ! I'm so glad we saw everyone in Manasquan even tho that was a while ago now, and the zoom calls we have had during lockdown... She will be very much missed
I'm sorry we can't come to the funeral, Sally and I would both have liked to have been able to come. I do hope we will be able to get together next year anyway.
Take care of yourself - you've had a really hard year and I'm thinking of you

Dear Marilyn,
I just wanted to write and let you know how sad I was to hear about Aunt Jean. She was such a wonderful person and I was so lucky to have had her as my Aunt. She was full of life and love for everyone, she was always fun to be with and always made us feel welcome and so much part of the family. Having family far away it is not always easy to see each. As we got older and had commitments long summers in New Jersey were not always possible, but whenever we got out to NJ Aunt Jean made it feel like we had been there just the other day and we always slotted right back into being her nieces from London. As our families grew she embraced our kids with that same love and wonderful sense of family that she did for Becky & I. I have so many fond memories of summers at Nutley or sitting on the beach in Manasquan - I don’t think I appreciated how lucky we were to have that until I got older. The madness of lobsters roaming the kitchen floor and all the pets and my big cousins coming and going from Nutley was always so much fun. She never forgot a birthday of any of us and her cards coming in the post were always a sign that someone had a birthday coming up - how she remembered everyones birthdays is beyond me! She was loving and kind and I am only sorry that we hadn’t seen her more recently. She had such a full life filled with her children and grandchildren and finding love again with Giggs was such a joy for her.
She will be greatly missed and always loved. I will be watching on Saturday with you and sending everyone lots and lot of love and virtual hugs, wishing they could be real hugs.
