Jean Elizabeth Lee was born in a farmhouse in Bradford, Ontario Canada on March 2, 1929 during a snowstorm. Her twin brother John was born a few minutes later and they grew up as the eldest two of a busy farm family with 9 children altogether. Jean trained to be a nurse at Toronto General and then moved to work at a hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. On her first day there, she met her future …
