We regretfully announce the departure of Jean Matthews, who passed away at home on July 23, 2025. Born on February 6, 1954, Jean lived life how she saw fit to the fullest of her intentions.

Jean was preceded by her parents, her husband Bruce and most recently her sister Virginia. She is survived by her daughters, Lynn and Kay. By her son in law Mariano and her grandchildren Stacie, Danyiel, Mariana, Natalie, D.J. Albert, Elijah, Kaiden and Kira. Also her greatgrandchildren Sophia, Elizabeth, Matthew, Annabella, Archibald and Alexander. She is also survived by her sister Virginia's children Jennie, April, Buffie, Stuart, Lisa, Virginia and Mandie, who she shared a loving relationship with.  Jean's passing leaves an irreplaceable void in the lives of many she knew, and the family prays for their solace. 

Despite her recent diagnosis, Jean was a woman of unstoppable strength. Her resilience in times of adversity was commendable. Jean will always be remembered as a beacon of hope and optimism by those that loved her.

In honor of Jean, in lieu of flowers, a fund named "Help with final expenses" has been set up. It is a humble attempt to symbolize the love and respect we have for Jean.
