Jean's obituary
Jean Caroline (Harold) Tegtman, a woman of strong will and unwavering independence, was called home on August 28, 2023. Born on May 13, 1934 in Deerlodge, Montana, Jean was a hard working woman, blessed with family and friends.
Jean will be missed by her children, Anne Robinson, Roberta Law, and Ernest Tegtman, who carry with them not only the teachings of their mother but many memories. Her sister, Shirley Fischer, and ex-husband, Robert Tegtman, also survive Jean.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frieda (Bender) Harold and Andrew Harold; and her brothers, Andrew and Donald Harold. Their memories echoed in her heart, and they now find reunion in eternal peace.
Jean wore many hats in life, not least of which was a mother, Mountain Bell employee, and Marine. However, her tour was cut short as her compassion led her to discharge to care for her sister.
Enjoying the simple pleasures in life, Jean could often be found indulging in her favorite food, ice cream, or engaging in her cherished recreational activities such as camping and fishing. She believed in the pure joy that a simple walk could bring, and her favorite spots like Yampa and Hahns Peak always held a special place in her heart.
Known for her stubborn and outspoken nature, Jean was not one to shy away from defending her beliefs or speaking her mind. The lessons she lived by and shared - independence, and standing up for yourself - will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved her.
Her legacy lives on through her children. The love, strength, and lessons she bestowed on them will continue to shape their lives, carrying Jean's spirit into the future. Her light may have faded from this world, but it continues to shine brightly in the lives of those she touched.
