Jean's obituary
In Loving Memory of Jean Esther Arnold
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jean Esther Arnold, a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend who entered into eternal rest on August 23, 2024. Born on August 25, 1941, to Connell and Roxanna Alexander in Lancaster county, Heath Springs, South Carolina, Jean lived a life filled with love, faith, and a deep commitment to serving others.
Jean was a woman of incredible warmth and grace whose vibrant spirit touched everyone who knew her. She was deeply devoted to her family and her faith, and her life was a beautiful reflection of the love she had for God and those around her. Jean’s kindness and compassion were boundless; she always put others before herself, finding joy in giving, supporting, and encouraging those she loved.
Jean is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Darvin Arnold, and her beloved children: Deborah Elaine Arnold, Darvin DaMone Arnold, DeVenchi Patrick Arnold (Yolanda), and Derrick Anthony Arnold. She also leaves behind her dear sister, Paris “Pat” Alexander, and fondly cherished the memory of her late brother, Andrew “AC” Alexander, throughout her life. Her treasured grandchildren — Damone Patrick Anthony Arnold, Demi Joie Maree Arnold, Drew Vincent Arnold, Deven DaMone Arnold, Avi Autumn Whiten, DeVenchi Patrick Arnold II, Dorian Cherice Arnold, Denia Monique Arnold, and Dakota Alexis Arnold — brought immense joy and happiness to her life.
She is also remembered fondly by her nieces Teresa Young, Angela R. Alexander Boyd, and La-Keshia Williams, sister-in-law Tempie Lee Alexander, great nephews Marcus Young, Dwayne Williams Jr., great niece Leela Williams, her beloved (predeceased) brother-in-law Cecil Arnold and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends who were blessed by her love, guidance, and wisdom.
Jean’s passing leaves an irreplaceable void, but her family and friends find comfort in the beautiful memories and the everlasting love she shared. Her life was a testament to unwavering faith, boundless kindness, and a loving spirit that will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched, the lessons she taught, and the love she gave so generously.
May Jean rest in peace and remain forever in our hearts.
