Jayson Michael Simpson, age 46, of Independence, Missouri, passed away on October 4, 2025.

He was born on November 22, 1978, in Ventura, California, the son of Michael Wayne Simpson and Charlotte (Norton) Simpson of Raymore, Missouri.

Jayson was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Jayson Simpson; his grandparents, William Howard Norton and Winnie Bell (Cowles) Norton, Wayne Allen Simpson, and Marella (Nave) Ellison; and his uncle, Michael DeWayne Norton.

He is survived by his son, Timothy Michael Simpson; his parents, Michael and Charlotte (Norton) Simpson; and his sisters, Leslie Ann (Simpson) Beardall and her husband, Luke Beardall, of Blue Springs, Missouri, and Melissa Maye (Simpson) Braun and her husband, Travis Braun, of Bates City, Missouri and his grandparent Al Ellison.

He also leaves behind his nephews, Braden K. Braun and Ronin Beardall; his niece, Ayla Beardall; and many cousins, aunts, and uncles, including his aunt, Ginger (Sullins) Glamser, of Wichita, Kansas.
