Background
Named after Jaymar's great- grandmother, Addy Mae Davis and Brandee's great- grandmother, Zenobia McKinney, Addyson Zenobia Davis has always been a girl full of dreams and determination. The start of Addyson’s junior year of high school also marked the beginning of Jaymar’s journey to beat cancer - a year-long testament filled with love and heartache. On September 25, 2025, Addyson's biggest fan, number one supporter, coach, and advocate, her dad, became her guardian angel.
Throughout his time at Hope4Cancer, Jaymar made it known that his most heartfelt wish was to be there on graduation day. And he didn't just want to be in the audience, he wanted to be able to stand up and shout "GO MOOKIE" as Addyson’s name was called. Though he will not be there physically, his unwavering love for her will never fade.
Recognizing how much Jaymar believed in the importance of education and the impact that being a caretaker at the tender age of 16, Mom, Brandee and big sister, Bralynn have decided to set up a memorial fund with a focus on Addyson. Monies will be used for travel to visit colleges, application fees, and all things SENIOR YEAR!
Addyson has been invited to play at a volleyball invitational in Spain with Pikeville College the summer before leaving for college. Her top 10 list of schools includes her parents' alma mater - Prairie View A& M University.
This fund is a special tribute to Jaymar’s unwavering love and support for his family. In many ways, this fund is more than just financial assistance; it represents the collective effort of those who will continue to love Jaymar and those who Jaymar loved - showing that even in loss, the love of a father can shape a bright and promising tomorrow for his daughter.
