Jayesh (Jay) Patel, 55, of Ashburn, VA, passed away on September 22, 2025.

Born on April 2, 1970, in Tanzania, Jay was the beloved son of Jyotsna and Nagin and a devoted father, brother, and friend. Though his years were far too few, he lived them with love, kindness, and an enduring sense of humor that touched everyone around him. His quick wit and easy smile made people feel at home in his presence, and he never missed an opportunity to lift someone’s spirits.

While he was dedicated to his work as a telecommunications engineer, he was just as well known for his skills behind the barbeque and his unwavering support of Liverpool FC. Yet he would have always said his greatest role in life was that of a father to Dylan and Khyle. He found his true purpose in raising and supporting his children, and nothing brought him more happiness than sharing in their lives. Whether cheering them on at soccer games, or creating moments of laughter, he was a source of love and strength.

He will be deeply missed by his sons Dylan and Khyle, his brothers Aminesh and Mahul, and many relatives and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts forever. Those who knew Jay will remember him for his playful spirit and his love for his sons and family.

Though his time here was far too short, Jay leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness that will never be forgotten.
