Jay Chapple, 36, of Belleville, IL, peacefully passed away on January 14, 2023 after a sudden heart failure.

Born in East St Louis, Il to Lawerence Chapple, and Leon White both of East St Louis,Il. Jay was fiercely passionate about basketball and his family.

After he graduated, East St Louis Sr High JJ landed his first job as a cashier at Captain Ds. In 2010 JJ met his kids mother , Tisha Griffin and went on to have  two children Jason & Joi Chapple. Jay put family first, always, and was a dedicated father.Jay was a strong, kind, loving, and supportive father. His knowledge and guidance was the foundation of his family. Jay was predeceased by his father granny and two aunts and leaves behind his mother Lawrence Chapple of Belleville,Il his only brother Johnny McKinney (Shena) of East St Louis, Il three sisters Jonita McKinney of Atl, Georgia Javonda Johnson(Paris) of Cahokia,Il and Shakota Griffin(Shawn) of Killeen, Texas his children Jason & Joi Chapple of St Louis,Mo and a lot of family and friends. No services will be held at this time and the family requests no donations or flowers be sent.
