The blessing in this sweet complicated life on earth as we all know,  can be so many emotional explosions of joy and pain. The love between children, relationships with illness and the depth of dedicated love was the purist love I ever felt when I visited in the last few months of Jays earthly life.   We meet only a few years ago around 2018. Yet the sweetness of these two kindred spirits was family from the start.  Here’s a picture of the three of us when we had lunch together in Rosendale NY.  Love you always and forever, Kim Kalesti

Jay was a creative genius. She embodied and radiated all the things I love about jazz. I attended her scatlab often. Her passing is a tremendous loss, and I mourn her, but I know her spirit, graciousness, and warm loving inspiration lives on in the singing souls of a generation. I will always live her.
