Jaavier M. Watson

1969 – 2025

Jaavier M. Watson passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025, after a long and courageous battle following a double brain stem stroke in December 2023.

Born with a generous heart and a bright spirit, Jaavier will be remembered for his love of family, his humor, and his passion for life. His son, Jayden, was his pride and joy—the center of his world and the source of his greatest happiness.

A true Lakers fan, Jaavier rarely missed a game and could talk basketball for hours. He also loved music, grilling out, and spending time with family and friends—moments filled with laughter, good food, and connection.

Jaavier is survived by his loving wife, Melissa Warntjes Watson; his beloved son, Jayden Watson; his mother, Alice Watson; his brother, Donaven Hudson; and his sister, Tanesha Watson. He was preceded in death by his father, James M. Watson.

Those who knew Javier will remember his strength, his laughter, and the deep love he shared with his family. The words he and Melissa often exchanged—“Love you more”—will forever echo in the hearts of those who loved him most.
