We (my brother Jerry, sister Patty and our older sister Betty) grew up on Big Dalton, directly across the street from Don Tomas, Sra Olivares, Sergio and Javier. Those 2 boys were like more brothers in our family that we grew up with. We all have lots of good memories I'm sure. Just before he died Javier replied to my text. He called me and updated me on Don Tomas, and told me about all his grandkids and sent me a few pictures of him with his nietos. He was so proud to be a grandfather. But my personal favorite memory of Javier comes from long ago in the late 70's. He had already agreed to be one of the 15 guys in my Quinceñera that October. I had told Javier I planned to pair him up with a friend of mine to escort each other in my Quinceñera. But one day Javier came across the street to tell me all about this cute girl, Lorraine. He told me they hadn't gone out yet but oh man, Javier really liked her. He asked me if it was ok if he asked Lorraine to be his escort in my Quinceñera. I didn't know her but up until that day, in my mind, Javier had always been just a typical teenager (brat :-), just like my own brother so I'd never seen Javier act so sweet, or goofy or nervous about any girl or anything. But I could see Javier really liked Lorraine. This memory reminds me to be grateful that God paired Javier and Lorraine together and gifted them with a genuine lifelong love and such a blessed life and love story. May her sweet memories of Javier's love for her and their life together, help Lorraine through this awful heartbreak. Javier, rest now and be in peace at the side of our Lord, and in your mom and dad's loving arms. Until I see you again, my friend. With love, Adriana (Titi)

To begin, I would like to express my deepest condolences to the Olivares family and friends for their unfortunate loss of Javier, followed by his father Mr Tomas whom I was a caregiver since Aug.27,2018. I have always enjoyed working for Loraine and Javier and I will truly miss our time together ❤️. Loraine, I'm here if you need me . God Bless and Rest in Peace Javier 🙏🏻 until we meet again .
