Jason's obituary

Our family is beyond sad to share the news of the passing of Jason Winter, near the end of 2022. A beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, & friend. Jason was born in Pottstown, Pa. We lived briefly in Mesquite, Tx. until we decided to move to Va. in the fall of 86. He graduated from Stafford Sr. High School in 1993, with best friends Andrew, Kent, & Phillip.

Jason had many interest, & hobbies, from drafting, to model cars, rockets, and BBQ. When he was younger, Jason loved to take things apart. Only never to put them back together. He also was a third degree black belt in karate. Jason worked along side his mother doing woodwork, and repair.  Jason worked almost over a decade doing HVAC with his dad Ty, until about mid 2000’s when he decided to make a change and began attending Johnson & Wales University for food management.

While at J&W Jason worked at Panera Bread until he became manager. Jason then worked as manager at Cook Out, Mission BBQ, & finally ending up at Wawa where he worked in Florida. Jason was constantly smoking pork butts, brisket, turkeys, baked beans, and chickens it always smelled and tasted great. From watching him mix his first meatloaf with Mom, to throwing an entire cheesecake in the trash because the top cracked. He loved trying new things.

Jason was a kind soul, always there to help a friend no matter what they needed, all you needed was to ask.

The hole he leaves in our hearts, and life will be with us always. Until we see each other again, we will miss our talks, your hugs, hearing your voice, your smiling face, we Love you.
