I had some of the best laughs of my life with Jason. He was a wonderful friend to me when I really needed one. We’d hike Potato Mountain and follow it up with Vietnamese food and $16 worth of frozen yogurt! I remember when we went out to the desert to watch the meteor shower and he told me I looked like a penguin. For Christmas I gave him a penguin card and bottle of wine shaped like a cat.  Years later, he said he still had the card and the bottle of cat wine. He was a truly unique human and I loved his quirky humor and his attempts to console me with cheeseballs and triscuits, I’ll never forget his kindness with a heaping serving of see sarcasm. I send my love to all who knew and loved him during this very sad time.
Jason also known as “ neighbor” in all my videos, was the perfect beer tasting partner. Always made everyone laugh ♥️ thank you for all the good memories.

Jason with our friends and fa…
Jason with our friends and family. We loved having him for the holidays -
Jason - I wish I had the words to tell you how much your friendship really meant to me, because it meant the world. I will always cherish the memories that we made that were full of music, song, happiness, laughter, and conversation. Your creativity, kindness,  and  intelligence always inspired me as well as your work ethic, musicianship, and your values. You were not only an incredible friend, but the best person I have ever known. I will never forget you Jason.

Jason taught me how to play my first chords on guitar, way back when we were teenagers. I’ll never forget it. I now have the privilege of teaching my daughter those same chords, (C, D and G) and every time I jam with my daughter I think of what he contributed to my relationship with her. Jason, you may be gone but never forgotten. I love you brother.

2023, Coast To Coast Trip!

One of my favorite memories with Jason, and according to him was a trip of a lifetime,  is the trip we took together to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh in July of 2022. It was the kind of adventure that fit him perfectly — a mix of curiosity, laughter, music in the headset, and an open sky ahead of us. We spent eight days traveling the country together in the Cirrus, hopping from state to state and airport to airport, talking about life at altitude and soaking in the view that only flying can give.

We covered thousands of miles and more than a few time zones, but the real joy was the time with Jason. He was the best co-pilot anyone could ask for — calm, sharp, funny in his very Jason way, and always up for the next leg of the journey. From sprint car races in South Dakota to standing beneath Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse, from the controlled chaos of arriving into Oshkosh to evenings spent talking over dinner somewhere far from home, it all felt unforgettable because he was there.

We bounced through Chicago, Kentucky, Myrtle Beach, Nashville, Santa Fe, and more airports than I can count, meeting people, catching rides, collecting small stories everywhere we went. We even managed to work in a stop to see his dad in Lake Havasu before heading home. By the end of it, we were tired, happy, and still laughing — and the friendship was stronger than ever.

It wasn’t just a trip. It was time with Jason — his steady presence, his quick mind, his dry humor, and his way of turning a long flying day into a memory I will carry for the rest of my life.
