It is with extreme sadness, that we announce the passing of Jason Peterson. He passed Sunday, January 30, 2022, at the age of 48, in his residing town of Woodleaf, NC.

He will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered, by his mother (Debra Peterson Padgett), his son (Tristin Kellner), his son's mother (Mary Kellner), his ex-wife (Kendy Johnson), his stepchildren (Elaina Burr & Westin Lloyd), other family members, and numerous friends.

He is preceeded in death by, his grandparents, his father (Barry Padgett), and some friends along the way.

Jason was a California native, that relocated to NC as a child, and has called it home ever since. He was a jack of all trades, and could build mostly anything with his hands. He loved warm weather, and heavy metal music. It was hard to keep him inside on a sunny day. He was a free spirit, and he never met a stranger. He could liven up any gathering, and bring a smile to even the saddest face. Those that had the privilege of meeting him, will never forget him.

He is being cremated and there will not be a formal service. A celebration of life, for family and close friends, will be held in his honor, Saturday, January 12, 2022 at 4pm, in Woodleaf, NC

Rest in Peace Jason. The "weight of the world" is no longer on your shoulders. ♡
