Jason would always greet me with a smile and was always engaged and interested in what I was doing in life. I knew him as far back as I can remember and I would visit his family’s house growing up and I would think it was the coolest place on earth because it had zip line, trampoline (in the ground!) and a pool.

Jason was a gamer. He was always ready to play games. For some reason a random day in Utah when I was visiting as a kid pops into mind.  I remember playing madden over and over with him for hours on end.  We then headed to Cafe Rio (such a treat) and came back and watched X-Men to end the night. I’ll always remember Jason as a person who was fun, competitive and always wanting to connect with others.

This loss is so heartbreaking. A favorite memory is seeing Jason in his “host of sunshine and nature” element! 5 of us went out on the boat and Jason was so gracious and kind- he’d brought snacks and drinks for all; trading drinks with me because I wasn’t loving mine. This was the epitome of who I saw; a man who would make sure another was taken care of before him. Jason gave us a tour of the lake and shared interesting facts on the areas surrounding as though he’d built it all himself.  His love for the outdoors always shone through.
We are so sorry for your loss. We knew Jason as a young dad when he just started having his beautiful children. I remember him  as such a loving father. He would always be holding a baby.  I remember Sunday dinners with him when we lived in Dallas, he was smart, funny & so kind.  We often met our families at a local park to let all the babies & toddlers run around. Jason would always be playing games with all the kids.  He was just incredibly fun! We were blessed to spend those early years of raising children together.  Our family was blessed to know him.
