I didn’t know Jason all that well, I knew him through Steve Kelly. I remember he planned & orchestrated an epic bachelor party for Steve on a houseboat on Lake Shasta. Jason pulled out all the stops and literally made a few stops to ensure the party had ample entertainment.

My most profound memory of Jason though is when we went rafting down the wild & scenic Rogue River with Steve & his brother in-law. Jason & I were in a raft that was being guided by Steve’s brother in-law and we were riding shotgun. As we got into some pretty hairy rapids we both kind of lost balance. Luckily Jason thought quickly enough to use me to brace himself from falling in and the next thing I knew I was floating away in the cold swift rapids.

Like I said I didn’t know Jason well but I knew him well enough to never forget the few times I spent with him. He was positive and had a great attitude and always seemed down for good times.

My heart goes out to all the people who had the pleasure of knowing Jason. Most of all to his wife Kristyl & daughter Averi, family & friends. He was great guy to know. He was always kind, funny & really cared about those around him. He always wanted to know how you were doing. I knew him through my brother in law Steve from many BBQs, get togethers and camping trips. I don't have any specific stories to share but I'm glad I met him. I will always remember him. He will be missed dearly.

When Averi wanted to be a Hot Dog for Halloween. Of course, being the best parents, Jason & Kristyl decided to be the condiments.
I have known Jason most of my life. I don’t remember exactly how old I was when my dad became friends with Jason through AT&T all I know it was still when I was playing with Barbie dolls because Jason would play them with me. I remember my dad taking me hunting with him and Jason would bring Dakota we have so many pictures of all three of us holding the birds they both shot. Jason was also there when I went crabbing the first time. He was at a lot of the camping trips we took and is the reason I’m so close with Melanie. One of the funniest memories I have with Jason and Kristal is when we went river rafting. It was always a saying what goes on the river stays on the river. Well that trip the raft stayed on the river from my dad going straight on the can opener. That trip ended right after that but it was still fun and the three of them soaking wet. I loved all the adventures I had with Jason. He was also so happy and pumped up for everything and saying YEA BUD! I will miss him saying what’s up Jules and I will continue to miss hunting and crabbing with him. He was a great friend and most of all he was part of my family. He will forever be missed.
