Jason's obituary

Jason Thomas Haapakoski passed away at his home in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the age of 49.

Jason was a devoted and loving father to his son, Joshua, and a cherished life partner to Sadie.

Born on December 13, 1976, to Dennis and Janet Haapakoski, Jason was the eldest of four sons. He was a man who embraced life fully and found joy in the outdoors, especially through fishing, hunting, and camping. Jason had a deep appreciation for time spent in nature and the simple moments shared with family and friends. He was also a passionate sports fan, faithfully cheering on his beloved Brewers, Packers, Bucks, and Admirals. The annual Badger–Gopher rivalry was a tradition celebrated each year.

Jason was preceded in death by his father, Dennis; his grandparents, John and Eileen Haapakoski, and Thomas and Jane Hapaka; his aunt, Linda Borland (Hapka); and his cousin, Justin Van Norman.

He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Janet; his life partner, Sadie; his son, Joshua; and his brothers, Jeremy, Jesse (Terry), and Joel (Sarah) Haapakoski. He is also survived by his nephews, Jordan, Jax, and Myles; his aunts, Debra, Janet , & Donna; his uncle, Scott; and many dear relatives and extended family members. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of Jason’s life will be held at the Knights of Columbus in South Milwaukee (732 Badger Ave) on May 2, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a time of remembrance and shared reflections beginning at 3:00 p.m.
