Jason and Mindy were so kind and welcoming when my husband and I were first married and moved in to their church ward. They often had us over for dinner and games or to just hang out. Jason was always funny and told great stories. We all moved from that area but were able to keep up with each other's lives. I loved seeing their families growth and success.  I will forever be appreciative of his (and Mindy's) friendship.

Mindy and Jade will be in my prayers for peace, comfort, understanding, and strength.

Everyone loved Jason and he loved them. He is a one man party, finding fun in any situation.  At work he could enter the room and after a few quips we would be smiling…sometimes with our eyes rolling as well. He was the unofficial IT expert, and often was able to get us back online. He was easily excited from receiving a package of licorice to being able to take his family to Germany. He was a great friend, who will definitely be missed.  Looking forward to some more laughs after this life…and as he would always say “right?”

So so many moments of hilarity with Jason. He always had an amazing ability to put you at ease. I showed up to a joint YM/YWs activity which started with games and rules but somehow devolved into everyone dumping water on anyone they could. I had managed to stealthily stay dry for 45 minutes until Jason got me with a full pitcher of ice water down the back. Such good times lol. He was always such a tease and a jokester in the best and uplifting kind of way. Always looking to laugh WITH you and honestly that always made him one of my favorite people.

So many family dinners together. Family breakfasts on Conference Sundays. He always there if you needed a hand or just a laugh. He could make a friend out of anyone, a talent I admired so very much.

He was just a good person. The world would be better with more like him, and it was a much better place because he was here, sharing his light with us all. Jason you will be sorely missed.

Ezrom and Jason had such a cu…
2023, USA
Ezrom and Jason had such a cute special bond. Ezrom just loved Jason and asked to text him all the time. He’d even do it when he didn’t ask. One time Jason called me and was like, Dude, is everything all right? Confused I asked why, and he was like, your text messages were all jumble I thought you had hurt yourself and were trying to get help. Nope just a 3 year old wanting to text his uncle Jason. He could get this shy little man to just beam. We will miss these super cute photo opportunities, but most of all we miss you Jason!

Jason was my first roommate after my mission, and he had also just returned home. We lived with Marc St. Pierre, who was engaged to Chelle Hutchings. I became quickly engaged to Amy Hutchings, Chelle's sister. If that wasn't enough Hutchings in our life, Jason started dating Mindy Hutchings, who lived with Amy. Well, we all ended up marrying our Hutchings girls, and the rest is history.

Jason had such a big heart. He gave me rides to American River College and took me out to lunch at TOGOS when I had no money (and he really didn't have much either). I remember how stoked he was when his new Dell computer came in the mail; we had a great time downloading and listening to music. Jason always smiled, loved to laugh, and always had a great story to tell. He lived his life with integrity and love, and he will be missed.

Christmas Work Party before J…
Schertz Medical Home, North Interstate 35 Frontage Road, Schertz, TX, USA
Christmas Work Party before Jason left us for Westover. Of course Jason photo bomb the picture but it’s ok he was Always making us laugh.
I remember playing "superman" with him and being the sucker to fall for it. But hey. I took 93 of his punches!! So I think I'm pretty tuff. I remember going on a white water rafting trip with him and Mindy for her work and we had to share a tent, so my mom's final advice was, "count to 10 before you do anything with jason." It became a running gag and anytime I saw him after that, we both started to count to ten. So many set ups (they really wanted me to marry one of their friends so I could be close to them). Holidays at their house. Lord of the Rings marathons.

The last time was in Texas, when we had a siblings reunion, Mindy, Jason and Jade came to visit and they wanted to see me and their dad at Carla's house, my husband Kent was the father in law for Jason, , we had a great time together.
In response to "When was the last time you spent time with Jason?"

I share my condolences to his family, wife Mindy and his daughter Jade, he will be in my heart with the same appreciation, he's in God's hands and we will see him as he was in the other side of the veil.
