For Jason's birthday I wás really racking my brain about a memory. We never lived near the Farleys, and so my time with him was brief and usually full of people.
We often were able to meet up at reunions...I remember he would always carry around a SERIOUS first aid kit, and always bragged that he had an IV in it-- and anything else we needed.
I use to roll my eyes...but the older I get, and the more prone to pain and weird things happening...I wish that Jason was alongside me with his first aid kit and IV, just in case!!!! Pop that IV in me if I puked please 😁
Mindy and Jason always over packed but ALWAYS had all the cool things. If you needed a pop-up...they had it, beach chair-got it, cooler-no prob, cool tents- yes please, hammocks-why not!!! They were always the prepared with cool things peeps...so a Boujee first aid kit should not have béen a surprise!!!

There are very few people in this world that can move mountains with their actions, behaviors, and personality. Jason Farley was one of those few people. He was one of the most caring individuals I have ever encountered and always had a smile on his face. His work ethic was second to none and he looked at every day as a chance to make someone smile. From the Galt Warrior '97 Football Team, we will miss you Jason Farley. Know that your impact on others and friendship has lasted over the years and that you made a difference in the lives of others. Rest in peace.

I had the opportunity to ride with Jason to Louisiana help clean up after a hurricane, I loved it. Bro Farley is such a cool guy; He always cracked jokes, smiled, laughed, and said “right?!”. Sometimes he talked deeply and you could tell he really cared about you. I know he cared about me, don’t know what I did to deserve it lol. But that’s the thing about Jason, you didn’t need to earn his love, he gave it to everyone through his comedy, his service, his actions, and his attitude.
On a funny tangent: I pelted him with a water ballon when I was twelve, and he always said he’d get me back… When I was seventeen and he was going to Germany he had to get me back still, so he splashed me with a sacrament cup and we laughed.
I know I’ll remember him for the rest of my life, I’m gonna miss him too. I didn’t know him as much as everyone else, but he was an example to me in a lot of ways. What an amazing guy.
Love you Bro Farley

I visited the Austin/San Antonio area a few times over the past few years while participating in some amateur Australian football tournaments. I was always grateful to stay with the Haskins. Jason and Mindy always came over while I was in town. I really appreciated having so much family in the area with whom to visit. Jason was always good for a deep or light-hearted conversation—extremely thoughtful and fun. I appreciated the time he spent, the cheerful disposition, the laughter—it added significantly to my trips to Texas. I’m grateful I got to know him over those visits, adding to the time we saw the Farley’s back in Sacramento before they moved to TX.

It has been a long time since I have been around the Farley family. Last time I saw them in person their Jade was barely over a year old. My recollection of Jason looked like this: SO funny, silly, and giggly! He loved Mountain Dew, Call of Duty, and was always up for adventure. On the inside Jason was much more sincere though. He fiercely loved his family, and would do anything for Mindy. He was over the moon when they had Jade, and was always ogling over how precious she was (which was so true!). He was a family man through and through with a kind, and generous heart.

I have been so hesitant in posting. I want to say so much in so little. Everything about Jason was BIG. His laugh, his hugs, his spending, his jobs, his physical body, his plans and dreams, his opinions, his faith, his generosity, his time. He was a 12 yo trapped in a man's body. He would be the FIRST to laugh. You always had someone to laugh with.
He loved surprises and celebrations and trips and vacations. He was so invested in surprising Mindy for her 40 birthday. He made sure to help me fly out to surprise her. I could tell and see how much happiness that brought him.
I love him for all of his BIG and all the little that wasn't seen. I wasn't ready to give him back.
