Jason Michael Bascunan (Jay)

Jason “Jay” Michael Bascunan, 41, of Shirley, NY, passed away surrounded by loved ones. Born to Kathy Bascunan and Anthony Cerna, Jason was a devoted son, father, brother, and friend. A William Floyd High School graduate (2002), he went on to earn his Associate’s Degree in Computer Repair from Island Draft Tech in Rhode Island.

Jason will be remembered for his humor, warmth, and unwavering love for his family. He is survived by his parents, his grandmother Monsi, his children Jason Jr., Avery, Mason, and Nysa Marie, his siblings, and a large extended family who cherished him deeply. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Katherine Smith, Luis Cerna, and Michael Smith.
