Hi Lee Family,

I am so sorry to hear this very sad news.  I remember Jared as a first grader in Room 6 at Coyote Creek.  He was a kind, smart, and hard working student and will always hold a special place in my heart.   I am including a picture of a letter he wrote to me when he was in first grade.  Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.   May he watch over you and be your guiding light.

Love,

Mariann Stephens

Dearest Lee Family, Sending you much love knowing that Jared is lighting your way forward in life.  An incredible person who will forever be etched into our hearts!

I knew of Jared through his dad and my good friend Roger.   I am heartbroken at this incomprehensible loss where someone so young and promising was taken away from us much too soon.  I would like to offer my love and condolences to the grieving family and hope they find the strength to cope with this loss  🙏!
With a heavy heart I send my sincere condolences.  Jared was special in all ways and he was always so thoughtful and kind.  Truly a loving soul.  Jared was inquisitive - always asking questions and wanting to learn more throughout the process.  Eager to grow and give back.   Gone too soon, my prayers are with you all.  - Jane Tittle
I lived in the same freshman dorm as Jared  and took several economics classes with him - he truly was a kind, caring, and joyful soul. He will be sorely missed. My prayers and condolences are with his family.
We are so fortunate to have shared in Jared's life for the time he was here in Hawaii.  Such an intelligent, outgoing, and loving child of God.  Roger, Michelle, and Lee ohana - may God cover you in his peace and aloha.   Akua maluhia a aloha (God's peace and love) - Mark & Stacia Peleholani, and the Lee ohana
I attended Pepperdine and was an economics major with Jared and was lucky enough to know him as a friend. He was an incredibly kind, smart, thoughtful, and faith-filled person, student, and friend. He was taken way too early from this world and I am sending my thoughts and prayers to his family at his difficult time ❤️
I had the pleasure of taking some economics classes with Jared at Pepperdine. Jared radiated kindness on campus. He has a beautiful, kind soul and spirit.  Sending my deepest condolences to your family. 🙏🏻

Dear Roger and Michelle,

We were deeply saddened to hear about the passing of your beloved son, Jared. Words cannot express our profound sorrow and sympathy for your family during this difficult time.

Although Toni and I never met Jared in person, we watched him grow and mature into an amazing young man through the family photos we received from you each holiday season. We always looked forward to hearing about Jared, Michaela, and Noe’s latest adventures. We are so grateful for those Christmas greetings.

We believe Jared was a remarkable person who, we know, left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. The kindness, warmth, and zest for life you instilled in him were truly exceptional. Toni and I know the tragedy of losing someone so young and full of promise.

Please know that you are not alone in your grief. Your friends, family, and faith will support you through this challenging time. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you need anything, whether it’s a shoulder to lean on, a listening ear, or assistance with any practical matters.

Jared’s memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him. May you find solace in the cherished moments you shared and the love surrounding him throughout his life.

Even in the most difficult of times, God does not put more upon us than we can bear (1Cor. 10:13). Toni, myself, and all the saints here at the Lakeview Church offer our sincerest condolences, and we are keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers always.

With heartfelt sympathy,

James and Toni Dukes

Jared was such a bright soul and always had such a positive demeanor and outlook on life. I always enjoyed his visits during his eye examinations at the office. I will forever remember your joyful personality and beautiful smile. Our deepest condolences to you and your family. With love, Ed, Susan, Josh and Jake Laubach
