Jared and the entire family vacationed at a resort in Puerto Vallarta the last week in July. We thoroughly enjoyed the companionship, the activities and especially Kanikapila with the family and Jasred playing the uke. . I will treasure the the evening at the Fiesta when Jared asked my to help him practice the waltz...it had been years since Grandpa and I had given the children dance lessons and he remembered.

I'll always remember Jared as such a sweet soul, I am especially fond of this picture.
The impact Jared has had on my life is long-lasting. As a classmate and friend, I knew Jared to be the most big-hearted, kind, compassionate and peaceful person, always seeking to sow peace into the world with the biggest and brightest smile. Smart, energetic, and deeply caring, my time at Straus intersected with Jared's time minimally, though meaningfully. There was an instant connection through our shared passions and his care for others impacted my life's trajectory. Though we did not speak often, he was someone I often thought of and reached out to when something in the ADR world caught my attention that I thought he may appreciate. It was just a few months ago I called him to tell him our favorite professor was teaching again at Pepperdine and we must go sit in on his class, and sure enough Jared drove 3 hours to be there. I will remember him for his light and love, and for the passion with which he lived his life. You live on strong in the hearts of those whose lives you touched, Jared. I am thankful to be one such life.

Jared ever attentive to an interesting lecture on dispute resolution
Whether it was taking out the trash and cleaning up at a church event or moving furniture or in countless other ways, Jared was always a willing and cheerful helper. The world is a poorer place without him. All our love to the Lees.

Jared was a friend, Straus classmate, and fellow Zion adventurer. I am incredibly grateful for the light and life and FUN he brought into the world. He had the best attitude and work ethic, always serving, growing, learning, improving. And he was a fantastic mediator I got to see in action during class and during the Straus competition which he WON! What a rockstar. Jared, I will miss you, and I'm so grateful the Lord allowed our paths to cross when they did. You blessed my life, and so many others.
