UC Ombuds Dinner at Hatch Cantina — with Jared's ombuds colleagues from University of CA and Cal State
My heart goes out to the entire Lee family for your tremendous loss! Jared was a beautiful human being who clearly came from a place of love. I am grateful for the time we spent and conversations that we shared and the opportunity to have known him.

I'm so sorry for the loss of Jared. My condolences to the Lee family. I'll always think of him whenever I have the opportunity to visit Asilomar. The conversations we had as fellow Ombuds while enjoying the scenic view of the beach will be memories that will be everlasting. Such a kindhearted person who genuinely cared about others.

Jared was a beloved student at Pepperdine. My prayers are with family and friends.

Thoughts, prayers and love… Jared was an extraordinary young man and will always live in our hearts!
Jared was always so optimistic and always knew how to make anyone smile. He used to always stop by the International Programs office and spark conversation. Truly one of the kindest souls out there. Sending all my love to his family.
Jared was the kindest soul I’d ever met. We studied abroad together and shared a lot of classes at Pepperdine; we even tried to start a club which unfortunately never took off. He embodied Christ in everything he did - you could sense he genuinely put others above himself, which is why he was a great mediator. The world lost a wonderful person. It breaks my heart because we needed more of him, but God called him home. So incredibly sorry for your loss.
Jared was a true light in any situation. He had a heart big enough for everyone that he came in contact with and always went out of his way to make sure that everyone felt included. I will never forget my memories with Jared and will forever push myself to live like Jared and shine positively in as many situations as possible. My deepest condolences to the Lee family, there will always be a massive hole in my heart and am deeply saddened by his passing.
My condolences to the Lee family. This is heartbreaking news to hear and I wish I kept in better touch with Jared. I studied abroad with Jared during our time at Pepperdine and he was truly a positive light in our group. Always being outdoors and ready for the next adventure. Always with a full smile and a source of joy and laughter. Being the mediator in the midst of conflict. I’m praying for you all, much love. Rest in peace 🙏🏾
So deeply sorry for your loss. Jared was such a kind, thoughtful, dedicated colleague in the ombuds field and in our committee. He stepped into a leadership role and so willingly gave his time, effort, and skill, just as it sounds like he did for many other organizations and causes. In his time as an ombuds, he left an impact - both from his efforts and also for who he was as a person. He will be missed.
Sincere condolences to the Lee family on your impossible to imagine loss. Will remember Jared for his constant big smile  on the pickleball courts. May his memory be a blessing.

I will always be thankful for knowing Jared. He is the epitome of a fine Human being, ...thoughtful, kind, considerate, intelligent, good looking, hard working, funny....all the characteristics you want in a person...but rarely does one person possess them all. Truly, a devastating loss.

My prayers are with Aunty Gladys, Roger, Michele & Lee family.

He is our angel now, and always with us.

Jared was an amazing friend and coworker in outdoor recreation at Pepperdine. We shared many of the same values and challenged each other greatly both physically and mentally. I knew Jared would be a person to go far and he pursued everything with his entire heart. I will miss his enthusiasm and determined spirit, but mostly, I will miss how safe of a space he was to confide in. I am so deeply sorry for your loss.
So sorry for your loss!!  I can’t imagine the pain you’re feeling right now!!  Jared was an amazing young man and was taken from this earth way too soon.   May he rest in peace ❤️
I am so sorry for your loss. I wish you peace and lots of love to go through this time.
Sending our love, thoughts and prayers to you both and your family at this most difficult time.
I am truly sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with your family.❤️
I can’t imagine the internal pain you are going through and although nothing can be done to minimize that pain, received my most sincere condolences, my  thoughts are with you and my prayers for Jared.
I am heartbroken by the news of Jared's passing. I worked with him on the IOA DEIB Committee as well, like my colleague Heidi Stensby. At the IOA Conference in April, Jared attended dinner with our Committee, and he and I met multiple times afterwards to transfer Committee Secretary duties and for him to interview me for the IOA book chapter he was working on. Jared struck me immediately - as I'm sure he does everyone - as someone incredibly kind, centered, intelligent, interesting, quietly courageous, and determined to contribute and further the causes he cared about. He was a rising star in the ombuds profession and will leave a giant hole in his wake. My deepest, deepest condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace, Jared.
To Jared's family and vast circle of loved ones - I'm so sorry for this painful loss of your dear Jared. I was fortunate to work with him on the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging Committee in the International Ombuds Association, and can attest to his mediation talent you shared. My thoughts will remain with your family in the weeks and months ahead. May your circle of support embrace you in healing ways. And may those trees Jared planted continue to reflect his rich legacy for years to come. Ho'omaluhia.

Outdoor Racquetball Championships - Not only was Jared willing to play doubles in this grueling tournament with his old Dad, but he was also willing to wear matching shirts! Always a “gamer” and always willing to sacrifice for another. — with Roger Lee
