Jared Arthur Knowlton
March 4, 1971 - July 18, 2021
Jared Arthur Knowlton, 50, died in Irvine, California Sunday, July 18 of unknown causes.

Jared will be remembered for his unbounded zest for life. He loved the outdoors, jumping in with both feet in pursuits ranging from climbing mountains, kayaking, to making wooden boats from scratch. Jared loved music. He was a member of the Utah Opera Chorus, sang in a barbershop quartet, and participated in community theatre. He sang with enthusiasm and taught himself piano. He embraced his family and friends and loved board games.

Jared was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served a Church mission to Canada. Jared was a graduate of the University of Utah where he studied Economics and Weber State where he studied Computer Science. He served in the military and valued his membership in the Army National Guard.

Jared and his wife Heidi were married in 2014. Jared is survived by his wife, Heidi Knowlton; son, Jasper; step daughters, Mariah and Emma, and step son,Tristen. He is also survived by his six siblings: Vicki, Brad, Brian, Terri, Tyler and Ted. Preceding him in death are his mother Margene Morris and his father, George Edward (Ted) Knowlton. Jared grew up in Bountiful Utah. A celebration of his life is planned for August 5th at 10:00 am at Utah Veterans Cemetery & Memorial Park.
