I was lucky enough to play in a woodwind quintet with Janine and some other older girls and I remember staying the night at someone’s house to practice before we competed at solo and ensemble and, even though I’d known Janine forever I was still kind of intimidated because I was just a freshman but we had such a blast! Janine was both hilarious AND kind, which is a killer combo. RIP you lovely woman. You will be missed.
