My heart still hurts for her. My sister and I always admired Janice. I remember when she was going to college at Memphis State and she had a little dog named Nikki. I think he was a miniature poodle whom she loved dearly. When I was about 12 or 13 she and Harold were living in Memphis and I went down there and spent a few days with her and Jonathan was a baby and she let me keep him while she would run an errand. And I remember American pie was a hit on the radio and they had that little 45 and we played it and played it. And when she finally did move back to Lexington, we were excited, especially that she lived across from my sister, Terry. And during the time when my daddy and mother were sick, she would talk to me length about everything & tried to help anyway she could. I am so glad I got to see her twice before she died. But it still doesn’t seem right coming to Lexington and she’s not here. Just as it is with Janie., my other first cousin who died before Janice. Anyway, her sweet spirit lingers on and always will. .💙💙💙🦜🦆🐕🦺🐾🐈🐈⬛❤️💙❤️

When I attended Sand Ridge Baptist Church, Jan and I usually sat together. She really enjoyed teaching her Sunday School Class and was always enthusiastic about whatever was going on at the church. I never heard a negative comment from her. She loved people, her little dogs and camping. I will miss her friendship.

I also taught and coached with Jan at Briarcrest. She always had a kind spirit and I know the students loved her. My condolences to her family and will keep them in my prayers. However we find solace in that she knew the Lord Jesus as her Savior and she is now in heaven with Him!

I taught at Briarcrest with Jan and admired her dedication to teaching students discipline through sports. She was my children’s beloved PE teacher, also. I taught Jon Speer in second grade and his Christian home life was very evident in his classroom. Jan loved JESUS, family and friends, and Briarcrest! I know that she will be missed.

Jan was always one of my favorite cousins. She was so lovable and kind. We chatted on Facebook often. I always wanted us to go camping together but we never set up a date. I enjoyed watching her zest for life. She lived it to the fullest. I will miss her a lot. Prayers for The family. Yall are heavy in my thoughts.
