1957, Their Minneapolis Home

I remember a specific time when Jan was in Senior High School and I was in 3rd or 4th grade. I looked up to and admired her.
It was Christmastime, and she had a class where she was learning how to wrap gifts. ( It must have been home making, but I am not sure). I watched her meticulously match the wrappings patterns and match the end paper at the end of the box to match up perfectly. Then she creased the edges on all sides of the box. She did it over and over until it was perfect.
Every time I wrap a gift, Jan comes to mind. I am an excellent gift wrapper. (smiles) We never know when we influence someone. I know this is a trite example, but I know I will never forget her as long as I am giving gifts.
