On Friday, June 7th, 2019, Janice “Jan” Louise Gonzalez, beloved wife and mother of four, passed away at the age of 69. Jan was born in Rockford, Illinois, on December 5th, 1949 to Patricia and Earl George. A funeral service will be held June 18, 2019 at 2:30 PM at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Jan was the spiritual matriarch of the family, sharing her love of God with her family, instilling the importance of prayer and devotion. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, her caregiving spirit shared with her entire family. She was an extraordinary baker and cook, her pot roast and Texas sheet cake were the most requested birthday meals. Jan loved to read, play piano, crochet, sew, spend time with family, attend church and pray.

Jan was preceded in death by her father, Earl George, her mother, Patricia George, and her brother Michael “Mike” Earl George. She is survived by her husband, Marco Gonzalez, her brothers, Kerry George and Jeff George, her daughters, Pam Pankey, Angel Swalve, Debbie Yearwood, her son Rob Swalve, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
