** Olson Memorial Library **
Jan was an avid book lover! She had an extensive collection and loved books in all formats. In the upstairs of her home, she had several shelves of books in her "library". She loved to download books to read on her iPad as well as listen to audio books at home or in the car too.
Jan shared her passion of books with all of her grandchildren, which included giving them books as Christmas presents each year. She would give books as gifts to others too. Most recently, she gave a book as a gift to a nurse she met while at a doctor's appointment.
As most of you know, Jan was very excited about becoming a great-grandmother. So, when her oldest granddaughter Alicia and her husband Zach finished a reading nook where they plan to read each night with their son Daniel, she was so excited that the next generation was carrying on her love of books!
Recently, Eagle River completed a restoration project of their local library. She loved it! It was one of her favorite buildings and was very special to her. To donate to the Olson Memorial Library, you can donate on this page by clicking the "Contribute" button to the right. Donations collected here for the Olson Memorial Library will be given in a lump sum in memoriam of Jan. We are currently working with the library to do something special with this gift in her name at the library.
** St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital **
St. Jude's is a wonderful organization that not only works to find cures for cancer, but also helps children and families who have to deal with unimaginable fears and challenges.
