Janice's obituary

Janice Sue Bjorkman (Adkins), 75, of Pembine, went home to be with Jesus peacefully in her home on Monday, December 14, 2020. She passed from this earthly body to her eternal home and heavenly father to join the many loved ones waiting for her there. Janice was born in Marked Tree, Arkansas on July 15, 1945, to V.O (Parker) and Herman Russel (Adkins). She graduated from Belleville High School, Belleville MI in 1963. Janice then married William Lee Hutchins, a soldier in the US Army on March 17, 1965. Janice began her training as a nurse in MI but after health concerns, changed her path in life. She and her husband later followed the call to ministry where she cared for others alongside him as a church planter in Michigan, Maine, Canada, and Indiana. Her mission in life was to share how others could come to know the God she loved and served. She would be the first to lend a listening ear to young women in her church as a Pastors wife and helped to disciple many to Christ. She also served as a Sunday school teacher and teacher at Coldwater Christian Academy, giving of herself in over 50 years of Christian Service. After the death of her husband in 1998 she moved to Pembine, WI and served at Northland Baptist Bible College as the secretary to the college president. There she met Daniel Clarence Bjorkman and they were married on March 12, 2001. She and Dan served at Faith Baptist Church in the bus ministry as well as church decorators and ministering with her gifts of care to the church families. She was a devoted wife and she and Dan enjoyed cooking and canning, gardening, and his love of fishing.
Janice's greatest love was spending time with her family and she was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She had a gift of making each one feel special with her loving notes and gifts at birthdays and holidays.

Survivors include her husband Daniel, and her 5 children, Tonya (Hutchins) Temple, William Hutchins, Cherith (Hutchins) Nottingham, Jonathon Hutchins, Leah (Hutchins) Hilton; and three step-children, Sonya Bjorkman, Emily (Bjorkman) Burton, Ben Bjorkman; 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; 8 nieces and nephews; her brother Eddie Gerald Adkins and sister Patricia Gail Richardson.

Janice was preceded in death by parents V.O and Herman Russell Adkins, her former husband William Hutchins, brother Charlie Adkins, son Peter Hutchins, and sons-in-law, Craig Temple and Cary Bogue.

Due to the current pandemic, a private Celebration of Life and Burial service with immediate family will be planned later in 2021.
