Janice Therese (Shea) Birrittieri went home to be with the Lord on February 10, 2022 after a very brief illness. She was born in Boston, Massachusetts on January 1, 1940 and was the 11th of 15 children born to the late James Edward Shea and Florence Mary (Reynolds) Shea. She resided the early part of her life in Boston, Quincy, & Taunton, MA, and then moved to Coral Springs, FL for over 35 years, and then on to Boynton Beach FL, the past 14 years. Janice held many different jobs in her younger years, including working as a telephone operator and working at Woolworth's Dept store. However, her favorite job on Earth was mothering her 7 children, and watching her 17 grandchildren and 6 (soon to be 9) great-grandchildren grow. She will be forever loved and cherished by her family including her 3 remaining siblings Donald Shea, Karen Miller, and Kathleen Froio all of Massachusetts, and literally hundreds of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 11 siblings and her eldest son Harold Sebastian "Tom" Birrittieri, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Harold Sebastian Birrittieri, Sr. of Boynton Beach, FL. Children: Therese (Greg) Brewer of Raleigh, NC, Donna Hucker of Mooresville, NC, Sheila (Mike) Florio of Coral Springs, FL, Vinny (Michele) Birrittieri of Clayton, NC, Angela (Scott) Tidwell of Mooresville, NC and Jennifer (Sasho) Naumovski of Boynton Beach, FL. She is also survived by her 17 beautiful grandchildren who were all the "Sunshines" of her life: Joshua Brewer and wife Emily, Jessica (Brewer) Sherrer and husband Jamie, Sarah (Hucker) Pfeffer and husband Michael, Andrea (Brewer) Zupicich and husband Christian,  Elisabeth Brewer, Corey Hucker, Hannah Brewer, Megan (Birrittieri) Alcius and husband Yvens, Christina (Brewer) McElveen and husband Daniel, Alyssa Birrittieri, Faith Birrittieri, Jacob Tidwell, Bradley Ransier, Katherine Tidwell, Anthony Birrittieri, Matthew Tidwell, and Joey Birrittieri. Great grandchildren: Evelyn and Abigail Sherrer, Jonah and Isaac Alcius, Juliana Pfeffer, and Liam McElveen. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Freedom Church of the Palm Beaches in Lantana, FL for Family and close friends on Saturday February 26, 2022 at 1:00 pm. We feel comfort knowing that Janice is now resting in the arms of our Lord and Savior!
