JC's obituary
Janet “JC” W. Collins of Irmo, SC, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 19, surrounded by love and family.
JC was the definition of a free spirit—vibrant, unapologetic, and full of life. She loved her family and friends fiercely and left a mark on every person lucky enough to know her. Her happiest days were spent on the beaches of Jamaica with her closest friends, embracing the reggae way of life and soaking in the island sun. Her jerk chicken was famous among family and friends—spicy, smoky, and made with love.
She loved music and never missed a chance to dance like no one was watching. JC’s laughter was infectious, her energy magnetic, and her heart bigger than the ocean she loved so much.
She is survived by her daughter, Heidi Collins Goff (Michael); her loving and devoted sister, Patricia Williamson Pyle; grandchildren McKenzie, Alex, Lauren, Emily, and Brittany (Dusty); and nephews Christopher and Marshall Pyle. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Gloria Williamson.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in her honor on Sunday, November 9th at 4:00 PM in the TD Room at the Saluda Shoals Park River Center in Irmo, South Carolina.
JC’s light, laughter, and spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of those who loved her.
