"What acts of kindness did you witness from Janet?" 

There were so many acts of kindness. Her smile alone could brighten someone’s day. I remember my mom pulling over one cold Chicago winter to pick up two elderly women waiting at a bus stop. She graciously gave them a ride. She was always going above and beyond for people, always saying, “You don’t forget the very young and the very old.” Janet made house calls to do hair, visited nursing homes—she truly provided a ministry through her work. She was never unkind, never judgmental. She let people be exactly as they were. She was extraordinarily kind.

I met Janet when I moved to my first condominium unit 2 years ago and she was such a pleasure to have met. She was the main one here that I really believe was a friend to me in my new home. As we stood in contact, she was a great friend to have that as I have experienced it is very hard to find. I miss her dearly. Happy Birthday my friend always!!

I met Janet back in the 80’s when she started cutting my hair. She was so fun and kind-hearted. Many years later I was Erica and Natalie’s Kindergarten  teacher ( while still getting my hair cut by her).

Janet was such a wonderful, loving mother. She loved “her girls” so very much. 

Her spirit lives on thru them. They are also kind, loving young women. Rest in peace, Janet. 😘❤️
