It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Mrs. Janet Nance, who left us on September 25, 2025. Janet was born on August 9, 1958, and graced this world with her strong, selfless, and loving nature for 67 remarkable years.

Janet shared her life with her husband, Rick Hickman. Together they built a home and life full of love. She was a loving sister to her sister, Michelle Nance and proud mother to her daughter Tiffany(Patrick) Tallent and a loving grandmother to Tanner Tallent and Harper Tallent. Her family was the center of her world, and she loved them unconditionally!

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Martha Nance, as well as her brother Gary Nance.

Those who knew Janet remember her as someone who loved with her whole heart. She had an open hand and an open heart. She was always willing to give a hand to anyone in need. Janet's kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

We extend an invitation to those who loved Janet to join us in a Celebration of Life. This will take place on October 18, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Birchwood Baptist Church. Together, we will honor Janet's life and reminisce on the beautiful memories we've shared with her.

Her life was a testament to the power of love, the strength of resilience, and the joy of selfless giving. Indeed, Janet Nance's impact on this world was both significant and enduring. While our hearts mourn her departure, her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us.
