Her legacy centers around her beloved daughter, Brooke Abshire, for whom her motherly love was infinite!

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph “JB” Levy, mother, Dorothy Abshire and father, Darwood Abshire. Janet’s cherished family includes her loving daughter, Brooke Abshire, daughter in law, Tosha Abshire; siblings: brother, Ray Abshire and sister in law, Mikie Abshire; sister, Renola Walston and brother in law, Ronnie Walston; brother, Murphy Abshire and sister in law, Julie Abshire; sister, Loretta Abshire; brother, Dennis Abshire and sister in law, Denise Abshire; sister, Darlene Barden and brother in law, Mike Barden; sister, Angie Hebert and brother in law, Jamie Hebert.

Janet will forever be remembered for her words of wisdom that she shared generously. She had an unyielding love for life that was infectious! Janet was gentle, kind, and warm-hearted, most referred to as the most amazing mother by those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Janet’s love for life extended to her favorite pastimes she enormously enjoyed. She had an love for casinos and rarely ever missed a day without her lottery tickets. She was a regular customer at the local Chinese restaurant but would have to say her  favorite food, was fried chicken!

Her life’s story is not just about  about the meaningful journey between those two dates. For Janet, it was a life well-lived, filled with love, kindness, wisdom, and the joy she brought to others. Her love for family and especially her daughter who she loved unconditionally. Janet’s enduring legacy will continue to live on through her family and the multitude of lives she touched during her time on earth as well as the lives she saved after by generously becoming a organ donar.

She was a beacon of light and love in this world, and she will be greatly missed!
