>Janet Barnes, 82, of Putnam, CT, passed away on February 11, 2026 after a long battle with cancer. Janet was born on November 29, 1943 to Marvin and Helen Clark in Charlton, Ma. After retiring from the USPS, Janet spent her time reading, gardening, traveling and dining out. Janet was predeceased by both her parents, 6 brothers and 5 sisters and also by her husband Fred. She is survived by her 2 daughter's Melissa and Elizabeth,  her beloved granddaughter Sara A. Moynagh, a cherished grandson  Hunter D. Roberts and a sister Pamela J. Miner. Also many nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be a private celebration of life at a later date.
