Jane's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jane Perrin, a woman whose life was a beautiful symphony of love, faith, and music. Jane departed this world on January 28, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, joy, and a long and steady devotion to her family, her faith, and her passions.
Born to Kenneth and Elizabeth Burkett, Jane grew up in a loving family that nurtured her talents and values. She was a cherished sister to her brothers John and Jim, and her six sisters—Jean, Janet, Joan, Judy, June, and Jackie. Their bond was unbreakable, and they shared countless memories, including annual sisters’ weekends that brought them even closer over the years.
Jane’s greatest joy was her family. She shared a lifetime of love and adventure with her devoted husband, Frank, who was her steadfast partner in life for almost 61 years of marriage. Together, they raised three sons—Frank Jr., Eric, and Ken—whom she gave so much attention and time to. Jane’s nurturing created a home filled with warmth, support, and unconditional love. Her legacy continues through her six grandchildren, who brought her immense happiness and pride, and now 3 great grandchildren.
A woman of many talents, Jane had a deep love for music that defined much of her life. She was a dedicated member of the Sweet Adelines chorus and multiple quartets for over 50 years, sharing her beautiful voice with the world. Her passion for singing extended to church choirs wherever she lived, and she had the extraordinary honor of singing for both President Gerald Ford as well as Pope John Paul II during a trip to Italy with her Sweet Adelines chorus.
Jane was also a dedicated educator who loved working with children, both in public schools and through her church. Her patience, kindness, and enthusiasm left a lasting impact on countless young lives.
Jane and Frank shared a love for travel, and together they explored the world, visiting and serving communities in Honduras, Guatemala, Brazil, Mexico, Australia, China, the Netherlands, France, Germany, and other places throughout Europe. These adventures brought her great joy and enriched her life with unforgettable experiences.
Jane will be remembered for her warm heart, her consistent and contagious smile, and her ability to light up any room she entered. She was a woman of deep faith, unwavering love, and boundless generosity, and her memory will continue to inspire all who knew her.
A memorial service to celebrate Jane’s life will be held on Friday, February 7, at 4:00 PM at Joy Lutheran Church in Parker, Colorado. Any/All members of Joy, family and friends are invited to attend.
Jane Perrin will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were touched by her love and light. May she rest in eternal peace.
